Team Defenses – Week 2

Favorable Match-ups:

  • Ravens (BAL) v. Browns – Result: 17
  • Bengals (CIN) v. Texans – Result: 7
  • Raiders (OAK) v. Jets – Result: 9
  • Colts (IND) v. Cardinals – Result: 7

  • Broncos (DEN) v. Cowboys – Result: 13

  • Patriots (NE) at New Orleans – Result: 2
  • Jaguars (JAX) v. Titans – Result: -1
  • Giants (NYG) v. Lions – Result: 5

Streaming Options:

  • Ravens (BAL) v. Browns. The Browns are starting rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer. They allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing defenses last year and the fifth most last week against the Steelers. The Ravens scored the third most fantasy points last week at Cincinnati and are owned in 50% of Yahoo! public leagues.
  • Bengals (CIN) v. Texans. The Texans are on the road for a Thursday night game and have two less-than-desireable options at quarterback in Tom Savage and rookie Deshaun Watson. Additionally, Watson is struggling with an ankle injury and will be at less than 100% if he gets the start. The Texans allowed the seventh most fantasy points to opposing defenses last year and tied for the most last week (28) against the Jaguars. The Bengals didn’t exactly light it up in Week 1 against Ravens, posting only four points, but match-ups are key when streaming a fantasy defense and this is a juicy one at home on a short week, especially with Houston LT Duane Brown still holding out in a contract dispute. The Bengals are owned in only 24% of Yahoo! public leagues.
  • Raiders (OAK) v. Jets. The Jets have no receivers of note and are starting quarterback Josh McCown. They allowed the second most fantasy points to opposing defenses last year and the 10th most last week against the Bills. Like the Bengals, the Raiders didn’t start strong in the season opener against Marcus Mariota at Tennessee, posting the fourth fewest fantasy points in the league (2). Once again, however, match-ups are key when streaming a fantasy defense and this is another good one.  The Raiders are owned in just 35% of Yahoo! public leagues.
